I write full-length plays with songs for theatre companies, schools, and individuals. I am interested in the lyrical quality of words, exploring their sound, rhythm, and the simple power of a single word to evoke an image or unlock a memory.

I write about small, powerful moments—like the time a man cut my son’s hair without asking, because he thought it was too long. I write to understand life’s deep mysteries, such as my ailing grandmother’s imagined love affair with a made-up man named Yuri, the one-armed sausage maker.

In France I’ve created adaptations of fairytales for young audiences, in English. These universal stories are easily recognisable for language learners and are equally enjoyable for young and older audiences alike.

work in progress

My most recent piece is 'Mara,' a cabaret play about Cinderella’s stepmother that humanises this childhood bogey-woman. It was long listed for the Red Ink Writers Competition (Melbourne, Australia), granted a residency in Centre Creation Dordogne (France) and will be produced in Melbourne, Australia, in 2024/2025.
